My sister (who was on child tax credit and income support) has her new partner moving into her home next week.
He earns over £60'000 a year so she will not be entitled to either benefit.
She notifying Tax Credits and Income Support of her change in circumstances this week.
The question she has asked me is...next year will Child Tax Credit send an assessment form for this tax year 12/13 and does she include her new partner's wages or will the assessment form just be for her. She is worried that as CTC is worked out over a year's earnings, her new partner's wages will make her have to pay money back even though they weren't co-habiting until DEcember 16th.
Or will CTC not send a form at all as they will 'earn' too much as a couple?
Thank you in advance
