Hiya i wonder if anyone can help?
My partner recieved a letter from the council today saying that they will only pay 70% of her council tax.My partner was put into the support group by ATOS because of her various illnesses and im her carer which i get carers allowance for.We also have her 23yr old daughter living at home who was also put into the support group because she has cerebal palsy.
When my partner rang to query it because she werent sure if what she has read was right.They told her she had to pay 30% of the council tax bill because im her carer and im not disabled and the only way to qualify for 100% payment of the council tax would be if i was disabled as well.
She is understandably very distraught because its more money we have too find and shes worried that we are going to get kicked out if we dont pay it.
Any advice would be appreciated
