I have made the decision that what would be best for my son would be for me to give up work and care for him. I am currently on unpaid leave as he is not in school, he is going through another period of very little sleep and I am exhausted. My Mum who was caring for him after school until recently has said that because of her failing health that she cant take him any more.
I have a second job which I work 10 hours at, which I would like to keep if I can. I earn £7 an hour for 5 of those and £8 an hour for the other 5. Am I right in thinking that this is under the threshold and therefore I need to declare it but it wont effect my carers allowance claim? I cant see any regulations on the amount of hours worked.
