I have a three bedroomed house,when I moved in I had two children.The last one left home last month.I got a job last year which I only bring home £940 a month.Due to my council and housing benefit messing things up when I started work it put me into rent arrears.I pay a little of them each money but as its so high I have now been given a notice of seeking possession.But been told as long as I continue to pay some of the arrears I wont be evicted.Now this new thing has come in which means I have to pay the 25% as have two spare rooms.I have asked to be down sized as I don't need a big place, but the council have said until I have cleared all my arrears they cannot move me.So from next month I have to try and find this extra which I really cannot do, so there will be more arrears and as I carnt pay they will take my home and make me homeless.I am in a catch 22 situation, I want a smaller place but cannot have one due to arrears,and I cannot afford to pay the extra so even by having a job and paying something of my original arrears I will still become homeless.:mad:
