'Care needed but not entitled'

Back in February I had an appeal for DLA, it was dis-allowed because I "didn't have a diagnosis" I thought that DLA wasn't awarded through diagnosis but through the care that every day is needed.
The woman (the legal) made me feel like I was a fraud bombarding me with questions, and asking "why I hadn't had to call the fire brigade and ambulance if I am that bad"
My ex-husband cares for me and I am waiting for another brain scan and the results from a further memory test. Off the record my neurologist believes that I have dementia. This is after years of tests to rule other things out.
I am on anti-depressants and morphine based pain killers for other medical problems that I have. I have telecare equipment installed and a social worker.
Because I failed my appeal (after waiting a year to the date that I requested it) my 'carer' has to go on a job search course so he can get JSA although when he explained to the staff there they told him to claim carers allowance but he cant without DLA I currently receive lr care & lr mobility although in the reasons why I was not entitled originally- they agreed that I needed extra care but because my ex helps me and as I have telecare stuff in I am safe!! Even my social worker couldn't believe this.
I am becoming a recluse I am frightened to go out in case I get lost and people cant understand me.
We have requested a written statement of reasons, although I haven't received it yet.
I hope there is someone out there that can direct me to what we can do next.
(This was set out and typed by my unofficial carer.)
