So I posted before about doing "work experience" set up by the job centre.... I stopped doing this when I was doing things like filling up the firm owners bentley wish rubbish for him to take to the tip...
anyway, I spoke to the job centre about my expenses and they said 'come in tuesday to show us your train tickets' - which would have been pointless as I was borrowing a car and had none - i tried to call them times on the day and couldnt actually get through to anyone by the end of my lunch.
Anyway, so I packed in that work experience and went to my sign on as I assumed would be normal. I was sat there for 40 minutes then kinda informed they had cancelled my claim for not turning up to the appointment, they would have known the reasons as to why if it were actually possible to contact them.
Anyway, I'm told to do a rapid reclaim which is basically just applying again and I get a text saying to come in tuesday (today) so I drag my way there in the snow and am told it was 'yesterday' and I'm like 'it is the 12th isnt it' told theres been a mistake and they meant monday the 11th and to go back tomorrow (wednesday).
Anyway, this experience has made me realise that the job center has nothing to do with helping you find a job and more to do with punishing you for not being able to find one and coming up with reasons to stop peoples claims.
With this in mind is it worth calling them tomorrow/going and telling them I don't want to sign anything until I've spoken to Citizen's advice? The reason I ask is because my friend told me 'they were tacking the !!!! with that work experience, she just tricked you into that to fufil quotas etc'.
Do I even have a legitimate grievance with these people?
Thanks
