Benefits advice please....

Hi,

I am 30, currently working full time, have been employed full time for 12 years with no gaps. I am a single parent to 2 children (7 and 5), and own my own home with an interest-only mortgage. I do not have any savings. I am also currently involved in a very expensive legal battle with my ex regarding the children.

I have recently found out that from 1st April 2013 my company are making massive cut backs and I will be left with only 13 hours a week to work.

Obviously, I am looking for another job- either full time, or part time to make up the hours. Until I find something, will I be entitled to any extra benefits? I currently only claim tax credits and child benefit. I have looked at the 'entitled to' checker and it says I may be able to claim income support and council tax benefit, but these calculations are always so vague! would I be entitled to any help with my legal fees?

Thanks in advance!
