My husband and I are Self Employed, the business is in it's first 3 years, and we are paying off set up loans etc.
Our JOINT income last year was £16,000, about the same the year before, and may actually be a little less this year :(
We have our house on the market at the moment as we have some equity there, which we're going to use to clear some debts and business rate arrears and generally get back on track. We're moving into rented accommodation and I just wondered whether we would be entitled to any help? We have always worked so bloody hard, but never seem to catch a break! Something always goes wrong, or the shutters on our 2nd shop break down in the middle of peak season for a 2 weeks, losing us nearly £10k including repairs, insurers make sure they're not responsible somehow and shop landlord would do nothing.
I just want to know if we can have any help, we are SO broke it's just not funny. I can barely afford heating the house and feeding the family at the moment, and that's without even looking at clearing some debts :(
