Hi there,
I've tried all over to find the answer to this but no joy.
I claim Income Support due to mental illness. I understand that they are transferring IS & IB claimants to ESA, but when is this likely to happen? A couple of friends have been 'processed' earlier in the year, but they were both previously claiming IB, so wondering if there's an order, ie, IB first, followed by IS? I also read somewhere that it happens when your claim is periodically reassessed, but I've been left alone for a few years now, I've no idea when (if at all) my claim gets reassessed.
Is it just a case of 'they'll get round to it in due course'? I feel a bit like I'm waiting for the guillotine blade to drop.
Another thing I don't understand is how this relates to the new Universal Credit. Am I right in thinking that ESA changes to UC next year?, so I could go through the stress of moving from IS to ESA, only to then have to navigate being transferred from ESA to UC.
Thanks for reading.
