Hello,
Me and the Mrs are moving into a new HA house; we lived with the Mrs mother till recently, but she needs to go into a home cos she's got dementia :(.
I'm self employed but only work a limited schedule because of some medical stuff I got going on so we get a few quid Housing Benefit.
I don't work from home, I drive to peoples places and do work my work there. On the housing benefit form, if your self employed, it asks for your business address. I haven't got a business address, I phoned up the council and they said this MUST be provided.
Our tenancy states no business can be run from our new place, and there are no exceptions.
What can I do? If I put my home address; could the council inform the HA and I'll get in the doo-doo? When I lived with the Mrs mother in her council house; the council just wanted invoices and accounts, but this is a different council with different rules.
What are my options here? I can't stop my work, and also we get Working Tax Credits, and they help us live a bit, you know?
Any advice would be gratefully welcomed.
