Hi, I have just inherited 15% of my mothers flat and my sister has the other 85%. I am presently on ESA, Housing Benefit for my housing association flat and DLA. I will not be receiving any money from my 15% share as my sister is living in the said flat and I have agreed only to take my 15% as and when my sister leaves and sells the property. Until she sells the property I will not financially gain any liquid assets.
With this in mind, I would be very grateful if someone could advise me about my status regarding my present benefits and whether they are affected by this. Thanks very much in advance.
