I have a very good friend with MS who lives in a two bedroom council flat that has been adapted for her needs. Electric doors, lower cupboards, special bathroom etc. She also has a carer to stay 2 nights per week. She has been told that she will have to pay extra for her second bedroom? She has asked where her carer is supposed to sleep but they said they didnt know. Her options are pay up or move to a 1 bedroom flat. My query is that if she moved what would happen if her condition deteriorated and she needed more care. Where is the carer supposed to sleep.
This seems to me that they all sing off one hymn sheet and cant take each case as unique. Any ideas on this one?
