Hi, just wondering if anyone can give an advice. I am on carers allowance, and income support and will be for the foreseeable future. I have one year left on my mortgage and owe around £5,000. A bargain house near me has come up for sale really cheap and i can get a remortgage on my current property to buy it and hopefully when my carers allowance ends in 18 months will be able to rent it out for around £100 a week, until then the property will be empty as it is in quite a state and requires alot of work. Does the purchase of the second house affect my benefits in anyway as i will not be renting it out until my benefits stop. i will be paying the mortgage on it with help from my parents. any advice will be greatly appreciated.
