Hi all,hope someone can help.Recently(early January) my daughter invited a friend to sleep at our home and she is still here,turns out things are not well with her mother(single but does not claim benefits) and she is not welcome to go back home.We have been in contact with the mother who has put this months family allowance in the girls bank account but will not give anything else.What i am asking does the child,17 and at collage qualify for any kind of benefits as the family allowance barely pays for her bus fare and food at college.
